Gen 1 was made in the 80′s and from what I’ve heard it was a pretty decent show, just aimed much more exclusively at little kids than the show Lauren Faust made.

But gen 3.5.. we don’t talk about gen 3.5.

If you really want to know, just make sure you have a LOT of mind-bleach on hand.

So real talk: the thing about the time turner is that it isn’t meant for “long-distance” time travel. One would have to calculate an extreme number of turns to go back by decades, and would then have to painstakingly do these turns without losing count. It’s also a one way trip, so whoever they sent back would be marooned in the past forever, with no way of letting the others know that they’d gotten the job done.

None of that matters anyway though, because it’s not actually possible to change the past in the Potterverse. If you go back and do something with the time turner, it also happened the first time around. We see this with the circumstances surrounding Buckbeaks rescue. The fact that Voldemort is alive is proof in itself that the time turner could not have been used to stop him because then he would, of course, be dead.

Most folks in the mulp fandom as I know’em have more of a qualm with G3 and forget G1 existed.

Heck, ‘G3 was better’ can piss off plenty of long-lasting fandoms.

Hey, I like G3! It’s my favourite gen in terms of the toys,at least, and it’s close to equal with G4 in terms of the show. (The thing that pisses off G3 fans is when people refer to G3.5 as ‘G3′.)

I actually tried reading Homestuck from the start, and shamefully I admit I never got to the trolls – there was too much archive for me to wade through. Not to mention how verbose Andrew Hussie could get (not that I minded reading, it just felt tiring sometimes) and how it kept cutting to Problem Sleuth (which I was actually amused by, I just wish it was its own, completely separate story) and back – I had a lot of trouble making sense of things, what with everything going topsy-turvy as Sburb was remaking the universe in real-time.
