    Oh!,Infact I don't like listening to Music while working,I don't know why.
  • DK
I don't understand why you would pause your music?
  • I listen to music on my ipod, so when I want to listen to other stuff, I pause it!
  • NIcholeey

I do the same thing, or I Pandora keeps asking me "Are you there? Hello?" with nothing playing. Yes, I'm there. Please keep being my random music slave, and suggest to me brilliant music to discover... if I was paying attention.

This happens to me a lot too, though only if I'm listening to engaging music. If I'm working really hard, I usually listen to easy classical/light jazz, which I can ignore if necessary anyway.
  • Shayrah
I swear I was doing this right now! lol Crazy! Thanks for the reminder.
  • Lorena
true!! same thing happens to me all the time!! ahahah this line is genius: "cats? on the internet? how novel"! I'm sick of using stuble upon and getting tons of pictures of cats :S
  • Dmajorproductions
thats exactly it, i have a report due tomorrow, and i paused my music. i need to get back to work.....
  • Very true... every single day!
  • Peter
Reading this made me realize that my music had been paused for half an hour.
  • Now thats what i do 8 hours a day 5 days a week and 22 days a month... :D
  • *smacks head, pushes play*
  • Oh My God!! It happend to me now..... -_-II
  • I find myself most mornings putting my headphones on when I arrive to the office... just to realize one hour later that I never pressed 'play' :D
  • Andrew

  • Austin
    Hah happens all the time
  • Phelix

    ...Q
  • This is TRUE! Therefore it is wonderful on two levels: the humour level AND the smart level. By the way, I did not spell humour wrong. Here's a fact as a reward for your multi-level success!: (crazy punctuation!) in French, you can use the word 'aussi', which means 'also', as the word 'therefore' if you put it at the beginning of a sentence. Crazy! By the way, stating that does not make me French.

p.s. I enjoy that you put headphones, but not music, as one of the tags.
  • miguel
    very true
  • scriabin
I only listen to avant-garde silence.
  • I used to listen to silence, until they started playing silence on the radio.
  • JakobG
We should put a post-it with that comic on our screens so we remember.
  • Meg
    Doing that right now...wow
  • Ertain
My God, man, you're right! It's an endless spiral into nothing!
  • ssampier
I love listening to music at work. However, my phone rings far too often to do this regularly, however.
  • Kat
hahaha i just realized i was doing it
  • Nie
I do that, except instead it's Pandora Radio, and since I don't have a subscription to it, it will stop every so often to make sure I haven't just left the room with it going forever.

But often I'll not even notice the music has stopped, then awkward silences occur. :)
  • I enjoy Pandora too. I like it when machines are concerned about my presence.
  • james
ahhh this made me realize that my music is off
  • TURN ON YOUR MUSIC TURN IT ON.
  • Jam
that happens to me all the time
  • Oh shit, I just realized that. lol
  • mik
Happens to me all the time +people dont bother me as often with headphones on
  • A good point, the headphones do provide a nice false sense of isolation, helps on the subway too.
  • Roy
I thought this was just me!
  • haha, so did all the other people who posted. I honestly had no idea this was such a universal phenomenon.
  • is true at 100%, at least in my case)

  • HOLY SPIRIT
would you two stop dicking around and get some actual work done. I feel like I've been the only one doing anything for like 2000 years.
  • Alex

  • KNOCK IT OFF YOU GUYS,
  • JESUS
HEY, HOLY SPIRIT! did you die for everyone's sins??? I think not. I rest my case
  • Feoremar
Yup, happens all the time to me too. I'm not sure whether it's annoying, or a good thing. I mean, you get less distractions, and you're more concentrated on your work, right? If you weren't, you wouldn't have noticed the music's not playing.
  • so true :D
  • This happens to me >.>
  • JakobG
    You've read my mind.
Except that it's pretty pointless to listen to an iPod while sitting in front of a computer.
Sa for mistakes, his hair looks different in the shocked panel and the CD drive is missing in two panels, but that's a minor detail.
With cats, do you mean the musical?
  • Actually, it bothered me that the CD drive was missing also. :D
  • hmmm, next time I'll be a bit more diligent.
  • YOU BIG DUMB IDIOT... NO HE'S NOT TALKING ABOUT CATS THE MUSICAL! HE'S TALKING ABOUT CATS THAT LOOK LIKE HITLER... GOOGLE IT. YOU DO KNOW WHAT GOOGLE IS RIGHT (NO, IT'S NOT GOOGLE THE MUSICAL).
  • Alex
and you must be God since you know exactly what he is talking about... he could just be talking about pictures of cats in general. so keep your mean comments to yourself, you big dumb idiot. and why dont you go be nice from now on. you do know what nice is, right?
  • JakobG
    Ooh, Tanner, look!
    Your first troll!
Be proud, you are attracting sarcasm-repelling IP-waster!
  • I feel so...proud?
  • That's not pride, it's internal bleeding.
  • malisha
Obvious troll is obvious and he got you hahaha chill
  • Why is it pointless to listen to an iPod in front of a computer? My work computer sucks and does not have much of my music on it. Thus, iPod, all day long. In any event, this strip is pretty damn funny.
  • JakobG
I use my iPod when I am not able to use my MacBook to listen to music.
    I save the batteries.
  • Nate D.
    Could not be more true!
  • lukeIScooldave
I'm doing it right now. No joke. haha.
  • wugs
